Mr. Cüneyt Şener; Vice President of BTSO said that integration of the logistical centre with high-speed rail line between Ankara-Bursa as well as TEKNOSAB would provide competitive advantages to Bursa business world internationally.
Mr. Şener came together with Mr. İsa Apaydın; Chairman of the TCDD’s Board, and Mr. İsmail Cağlar; Vice General Manager of TCDD. Thanks to its qualified labour force, strong commercial and industrial capacity, Bursa has a great potential in employment and export; so, it centres on the mega transportation projects of Turkey.
THE LEADER OF INDUSTRIAL TRANSITION
Mr. Şener said that they believe TEKNOSAB, as a symbol of new industrial revolution, will provide 25 billion dollars’ investment; employment for almost 150.000 people and 40 billion dollars’ export; and connection between highways, railways and harbours will make TEKNOSAB one of the most important logistical centre and leader of industrial revolution. TEKNOSAB will be the centre of systematic transition with clusters in target sectors, centre of excellence and R&D centres as well as organized trade zones. Bursa will contribute to employment and economic growth on a large scale after it will become more eco-friendly than standard industrial production.
TENDER WILL BE LODGED ON AUGUST
Mr. Cüneyt Şener, said that Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan; the President of the Republic of Turkey took close interest in TEKNOSAB and briefed that it should be expanded. He also expressed that Bursa initiated the development process of new investments and residential areas on west parts of the city like a lightening. Under the guidance of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, there are also many projects carried out to build a logistical centre that will be integrated with highways, railways and harbours. Moreover, strong and feasible high-speed rail lines between Bursa and Ankara will provide business people with advantages in international markets while integrated with TEKNOSAB. Stating that within the scope of high-speed rail line between Ankara and Bursa, a tender for the tie line will be gone out in the second half of the August; Mr. Şener said that as of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, they are securing its position in Turkish economy and will continue working by the vision of “common mind” with the cooperation of the Ministry of Communications.

Mr. Apaydın; Chairman of the TCDD’s Board said that Bursa is one of the important cities directing production and exportation capacities of Turkey. As of Turkish State Railways, they believe that the projects carried out by Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry will make huge contribution to commercial and industrial development of Bursa; and BTSO is the closest partner of Turkish State Railways while conducting projects. The demands of our business world on investments made in Bursa are of great importance for us. We have had exchange of ideas about projects carried out by organizing coordination meetings monthly.
