“TEKNOSAB: The Project With Strong Vision” Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) signed a cooperation protocol with the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce.   Mr. David Waller, President of Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, said that the projects, especially TEKNOSAB Project, carried out Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry excited him and said that he would like to come to Bursa once more with a business delegation and know BTSO and urban economy well.
 
Mr. Cüneyt Şener, The Vice President of the Board; Mr. Prof. Dr. Yusuf Ulcay, Rector of Ulduag University,  Bennar Aydoğdu, Deputy Chairman of BTSO Arbitration and Mediation Center (BTSOTAM) and Vice President of International Arbitration Officials Association, visited the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce in England.  Mr. David Waller, The President of Birmingham Chamber of Commerce and the board members welcomed   BTSO delegation and gave information about Birmingham, the second largest city of the United Kingdom, and its economy. Cüneyt Şener, Vice President of BTSO, said that Bursa is one of the most important production bases of Turkey. Stating that Bursa has exported more than 112 countries with 13 billion dollars of exports, Mr. Cüneyt Şener said that the city has a strong structure in many sectors such as automotive, machinery and textile.
 
The Signature of Bursa on Business Connection Between Turkey and The United KingdomExpressing that historical companionship and cooperation between UK and Turkey has been increasing day by day, Mr. Şener pointed out that there are 550 companies in Bursa that have strong trade relations with UK.  Expressing that there are 13 British-invested companies operating in Bursa, Mr. Şener said, "There is a strong trade bridge between our city and the UK, which export their products to all over the world.  We would like to strengthen this bridge further  with this cooperation protocol signed between us and the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce. This protocol would open up new alliances between two cities and  help bumping Turkey-UK trade volume up.”
 
Şener also reminded that within the scope of Global Fair Agency Project, they visited the INFRARAİL Fair, the Machinery Manufacturing Technologies and Rail Systems Fair held in England in 2015. Mr. Cüneyt Şener also expressed that the British Business Bridge agreement signed between the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and England would provide important privileges to the Bursa business world.
 
BURSA AND BIRMINGHAM MEET ON LOTS OF COMMON GROUNDS”
Mr. David Waller, President of Birmingham Chamber of Commerce said there are 36,000 businesses in Birmingham, and 700 of them are foreign-invested. Stating that Birmingham has many common features like Bursa has, Mr. Waller said the city takes the lead in the automotive and aviation sectors. Stating that the protocol signed between two chambers would be a historic success for both cities, Mr. Waller said “I believe wholeheartedly that the protocol would give acceleration to long-established bilateral relations between two countries.

Stating that industrial experience of Bursa affects himself, Mr. Waller said that he was especially impressed with the TEKNOSAB Project. Mr. Waller said “TEKNOSAB, which would be a symbol of the 4th industrial revolution of Turkey, is a great project. It will add great value to Bursa. I congratulate Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which takes the lead of making this technology-oriented project put into practice. TEKNOSAB and the other projects carried out by BTSO are products of a strong vision. I would like to come to Bursa and investigate the projects on site with a business delegation as soon as possible.”
 
Within the scope of the visit, Bennar Aydogdu, BTSOTAM Vice Chairman; made a presentation about the projects they have implemented as of BTSO Arbitration and Mediation Centre (BTSOTAM). After the speeches, Mr. Cüneyt Şener, BTSO Vice President and Mr. Waller, President of Birmingham Chamber of Commerce  signed the cooperation protocol. It is aimed to support trade and investment activities between Turkish and English companies with through this protocol, and to carry out exhibitions, exhibitions, seminars and business delegations organizations as well as to act jointly with many other fields such as information exchange requests about trade and economic relations.
